Upcoming Concerts/Festivals:GLAC is partnering with the Oakland University deparment of music to present the 'Indo-American Festival of Performing Arts - Sarovar 2011'. This is the first ever, one of a kind music festival held at the Oakland University campus for the sake of global peace and harmony! The festival will be held on May 6th, 7th and 8th featuring several concerts by top notch musicians, lecture demonstrations, fusion music, dance-drama and light music concerts. The Great Lakes Aradhana Committee or GLAC is a premier non-profit organization committed to preserving, presenting and promoting arts in the Great Lakes region. Our mission is to promote classical arts in our community for the cause of enrichment, participation and fellowship for art aficionados in Michigan by bringing quality events on a regular basis with a bias on membership satisfaction. GLAC strives in perpetuating the unique cultural heritage into the mainstream American diaspora with it's events well attended by people of all ethnicities from the Great Lakes states of the USA and Canada. Our HistoryGLAC was originally founded in 1985 and is the oldest and largest Indo-American art organizations in Michigan. It was formally incorporated in 1996 as an art resource in SE Michigan by a group of people who truly appreciate, enjoy and want to promote one of the greatest cultural traditions which has been passed down over the generations.
